The Heat Seal Film ClearASeal Pierce is a polyester heat-sealing film that is easily pierceable with autosampler needles/ABI® 3730 that are suitable for PCR, qPCR, and optical applications. This is a heat seal film roll that is 610m x 78mm and it is sterile. The heat sealing is optically clear forming a pierceable seal to polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene, and cyclic olefin copolymer plates. The optical clarity allows it to be used for sealing plates that are required for imagining use, fluorescent detection methods such as qPCR and colorimetric assays. It offers 100% effective methods for plate sealing for a complete seal integrity and it is quick and cost effective for your lab needs.

This heat seal has pierce-ability that renders it useful for automation and for use on needle, capillary and tip based liquid handling systems. It is effective on the ABI®3730 capillary sequencer which removes the need for the use of expensive septa mats. These ClearASeal Pierce heat seals form a complete seal that enables moderate low and high temperature uses that includes PCR when using a pressurised heated lid thermal cycler. The application of use for this heat seal includes being able to seal polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene, cyclic olefin copolymer, capillary sequencers, automated liquid handles, PCR, and qPCR.
