Viscometer KU-3 Brookfield XKU3ASTKB00B00

The KU-3 is a completely digital calculating Krebs Unit. The instrument is used for making viscosity measurements on paints in accordance with ASTM D562.

How does it work?

The samples are tested in standard paint industry cans and held by a fixture located on the viscometer base. The cans can be filled ¾ of the way to the top and the KU-3 has two operating positions:

• Up: Spindle stationary and drive motor off


• Down: Spindle rotating; sample being measured

The displayed reading can be held by pressing the hold switch at any time and the display may switch to compare the Krebs Unit (KU) reading with the associated gram reading and centipoise.
