Dnase Test Agar 1028 Condalab

DNAse Test Agar (Deoxyribonuclease Activity) can differentiate microorganisms using correlation between coagulase positive and DNase activity. The medium is specifically recommended for the identification of pathogenic staphylococci. Casein peptone and soy peptone provide nitrogen, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that are essential for growth. Sodium chloride provides essential electrolytes for transport and osmotic balance whereas deoxyribonucleic acid allows for the detection of DNase that depolymerize DNA. The bacteriological agar is the solidifying agent.
