| Lovibond® Comparator 3000 Visual comparators for colour grading. A series of 3-field instruments designed for visual colour grading by direct comparison between the sample and coloured glass standards. The sample and two adjacent glasses on the colour scale are viewed simultaneously, making it easier to achieve the optimum colour match. The tungsten halogen light source is colour corrected to CIE Standard Illuminant C (B for the EBC Comparator 3000) and guarantees constant lighting conditions for colour grading. Versions of the Comparator 3000 are available for the following scales, each supplied with the appropriate range of colour standards and sample containers: Type Typical Applications Gardner Comparator 3000: Chemicals and oils including resins, varnishes, drying oils and fatty acids (ASTM D1544; ISO 4630, AOCS Methods Ja 9-87, Td 1a-64, Td 3a-64).
