Legionella Test Kits
Legionella is a causative agent of Legionnaire’s disease that can potentially cause a fatal form of pneumonia. There are guidelines across the world for the control of Legionella and they detail the key parameters that should be tested to minimise the risk of harmful levels of Legionella in open water systems and water samples.
The Lovibond Legionella test kits are fast, easy and accurate when it comes to using them. The tests take no longer than 35 minutes to receive results from and can be used in various applications. The kits are available for detecting both waterborne and biofilm Legionella and allow for understanding and response to the conditions of the water system.
Types of Test Kits:
The Legionella Field Test Kit is the most basic of the Legionella Detection test kits. It is used to detect the presence of Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 bacteria in water samples from a wide range of sources. This kit includes ten tests.
The Legionella Industrial Test Kit is used for detecting Legionella in a water sample. It is ideal for online and a variety of industrial applications. This kit includes five tests.
The Legionella Single Syringe Test Kit is for detecting Legionella in a water sample also. This is ideal for users who require the increased test accuracy associated with a filtered sample. This kit is one single test.
The Legionella Swab Test Kit is used to find Legionella in their breeding ground and it is a selective test as it can detect legionella even in samples with very high background flora. This kit includes five tests.

Application:
The Legionella tests can be used in multiple water applications including domestic and industrial hot and cold-water systems, cooling towers, decorative fountains, hot tubs and pools, sinks and showers, misters, sprinklers, air washers, humidifiers and water tanks.
