The Hybridoma Growth Media 6 and 7 are a serum free media that are fully defined and can be used for the cultivation of various hybridomas along with the production of monoclonal antibodies. This cell culture media is available with or without phenol red to prevent interference of the dye with chromogenic assays.
The HYGM Cell Media are ready to use immediately upon arrival. HYGM-6 is serum free and contains recombinant insulin for therapeutic usage. There are no other proteins or undefined hydrolysates present in this medium. HYGM-7 is a chemically defined medium that doesn’t contain any undefined hydrolysates or proteins.
A serum-free and chemically defined medium, the ISF-1 can be used for hybridoma cell culture and monoclonal antibody production. It contains Glutamine and does not require any further supplementation. This cell culture medium can be used to protect cells from shear forces during production as surfactant is included in the medium. It is not suitable for cholesterol dependent cell lines (e.g. NSO and its variants) without further supplementation of lipoprotein. The BSA used in the ISF-1 Medium is certified. The addition of antibiotics should not be a substitute for proper sterile techniques, so the use of antibiotics is not necessary nor advised. In the instance where antibiotics may be desired, this medium has shown to be compatible with the most used antibiotics, e.g. gentamycin, puromycin and amphotericin B).
